A professional Scythe made of high carbon steel, with a forged blade with long steel shank forged in a single piece and heat treated for maximum strength. With a sharpened blade and shaped ash handle, this is a classic scything tool for tough weeding and agricultural harvesting. Handcrafted in the Krumpholz family-run forge in Germany who have been making high quality gardening tools since 1799. Krumpholz offer a lifetime guarantee against material or manufacturing defects.

Care Advice

Hand wash only, and never leave soaking. Dry immediately, followed with a light coating of camellia or a mineral oil. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust formation. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary. Treat the wooden handle with a mineral oil when necessary to condition the wood and prevent warping and cracking.
