Bone Orange Peeler

Bone Orange Peeler
Use & Maintenance
Traditional orange peelers are a useful tool in safely scoring and peeling the rind of citrus fruits without damaging their fruit in the process. Its design features a sharpened hooked end for scoring the rind without cutting into the fruit and a wide rounded end for gently prying and lifting the rind from the fruit segments. A helpful diagrammatic aid is shown on a sticker attached to the handle.
To use the peeler, hold your citrus fruit of choice in one hand with its stem end facing up. With the peeler in the other hand, use its hooked sharp end to score 4 to 6 vertical slices into the peel (depending on the size of fruit). Then with the wide rounded flat end of the peeler, place its edge under the skin at the top of the incision lines made and gently pry and peel the rind leveraging pressure with your thumb and the peeler. To clean, hand wash using a gentle soap detergent and warm water. Air dry thoroughly. Stainless steel models are dishwasher safe.
