Nisaku Stainless Steel Hori-Hori Gardening Knife with Sheath, Small

A shorter version of this stainless steel, multifunctional gardening knife from Tsubame-Sanjo in Niigata Prefecture, north central Japan, with a hardwood handle. Hori-hori means 'dig-dig' — these strong digging knives are used for weeding, planting, and historically for the careful extraction of prized bonsai specimens in the mountains. These knives cope with the toughest stony soils, and the sharpened / serrated edges can be used to cut or saw through roots and stems, for rough pruning, harvesting, or cutting back between seasons. Measures 25cm, with a blade of 11cm. Supplied with a faux leather sheath.
