English Spun Iron Prospector Style Chef's Pan, 11"

English Spun Iron Prospector Style Chef's Pan, 11"
£72.00
Ex Tax: £60.00
This 11 inch chef's pan has deep sides, with a gently curved profile and a broad cooking area across the base, giving it a versatility that lends itself to everything from the perfect omelette, to sautéed vegetables, perfectly seared steak, crispy skinned fish fillets and super sauces. This two-handled version makes a great hob-to-table pan. From Netherton Foundry, a Shropshire company with a noted commitment to sustainable sourcing and local manufacturing. Hand made, with British oak handle covers with brass fixings. Suitable for high temperature frying & browning. Seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a hardwearing, repairable, and naturally very low stick finish — which like all traditional iron and steel pans will improve rather than degrade with use and age. Suitable for use on all hobs — heat up slowly to prevent warping.

Care Advice

Hand wash with a stiff vegetable fibre brush, using either no soap or a very gentle soap such as Marseille White Soap. Avoid soaking. Dry immediately after washing, and either return to the hob to ensure the pan is fully dry, or dry well. There is no need to season this item, however we recommend using a little more oil than you ordinarily would for the first few uses. Store in a dry environment to prevent the formation of rust. Should rust occur, use an abrasive or rust-remover to remove, and re-season. As this is a spun iron item, special care should be taken to prevent warping. Use the lowest possible temperature for at least a minute to ensure even heating throughout, before increasing the heat to the desired temperature. This is especially important when using an induction hob, which will heat very quickly and powerfully. Please refer to product packaging for specific care and use instructions.
