A string and washer envelope containing an organic cotton washcloth and a natural Hinoki-scented soap. The three-layer gauze washcloth, with the middle layer a half-weight weave, making this towel lightweight, absorbent and quick to dry. Utilising an irregular weave pattern produces a unique, exquisitely soft texture, creating a wonderfully tactile cloth. Made in Senshu, Osaka by the Shinto Towel company — established over a century ago, this family-run business is on a quest to produce the perfect towel, using environmentally low-impact production methods.
The handcrafted Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) soap, a relaxing and soothing soap infused with natural hinoki oil, has natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties. Made from raw natural oils at room temperature, with no warming or rinsing, the result is a moisturising soap rich in nutrients extracted from the various oils used that can be used for the whole body as well as the hair. Made by Mutenka Sekken Honpo, who have been producing all-natural soaps in the Miki District, Hyōgo Prefecture since 1955. Weighs 90g, measures approx. W 5.5 x L 8 x H 2.5cm.
