A string and washer envelope containing an organic cotton washcloth and a natural Hinoki-scented soap. The three-layer gauze washcloth, with the middle layer a half-weight weave, making this towel lightweight, absorbent and quick to dry. Utilising an irregular weave pattern produces a unique, exquisitely soft texture, creating a wonderfully tactile cloth. Made in Senshu, Osaka by the Shinto Towel company — established over a century ago, this family-run business is on a quest to produce the perfect towel, using environmentally low-impact production methods.
The handcrafted Yuzu (yellow citrus fruit) soap, is created using yuzu from Yasutomi, Hyōgo Prefecture, which has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for the high quality of its pesticide-free produce. The yuzu are individually checked by hand and freshly juiced in-house immediately following picking. Both yuzu oil and extract are combined with an olive oil base to create a comfortable softness on the skin. Made from raw natural oils at room temperature, with no warming or rinsing, the result is a moisturising soap rich in nutrients extracted from the various oils used that can be used for the whole body as well as the hair. Made by Mutenka Sekken Honpo, who have been producing all-natural soaps in the Miki District, Hyōgo Prefecture since 1955. Weighs 90g, measures approx. W 5.5 x L 8 x H 2.5cm.
