A string and washer envelope containing an organic cotton washcloth and a natural Hinoki-scented soap. The three-layer gauze washcloth, with the middle layer a half-weight weave, making this towel lightweight, absorbent and quick to dry. Utilising an irregular weave pattern produces a unique, exquisitely soft texture, creating a wonderfully tactile cloth. Made in Senshu, Osaka by the Shinto Towel company — established over a century ago, this family-run business is on a quest to produce the perfect towel, using environmentally low-impact production methods.
The handcrafted additive-free and unscented baby soap is made using the Kamayaki method which involves kettle-firing over three days and maturing for three months, before the soap is hand-cut and packaged. Made by Mutenka Sekken Honpo, who have been producing all-natural soaps in the Miki District, Hyōgo Prefecture since 1955. Recommended for very dry or sensitive skin, this is a very gentle soap suitable or babies and older people, or those with very sensitive skin. Kettle-firing is a highly skilled process, resulting in a condensed, hard soap which is long-lasting and creates a creamy foam with a fine texture. It is recommended to use a bathing brush or cloth to produce foam from the soap. Weighs approximately 140g, measures approximately W 5.2 x L 7.2 x H 3.6cm.
