Made in Italy by Alpen, located in Premana, a small village in the mountains of Lombardy known for its rich history in the production of high-quality scissors and blades. Each blade is skilfully crafted by an apprentice-trained ‘Regolatori’, using experience and techniques passed down through several generations. It’s believed that this stork design had its origins in the decoration of umbilical clamps modelled thus after the mythological feathered midwife.
Gold and Nickel-plated carbon steel scissors require special attention to prevent tarnishing and damage to the blades. Make sure to wipe clean, dry thoroughly and occasionally oil to protect from any humidity. These measure 9cm in total length with a blade length of just under 3cm.
