Arthur Wright & Son Spearpoint Knife, Olivewood

Arthur Wright & Son Spearpoint Knife, Olivewood
£58.00
Ex Tax: £48.33

Believed to have developed in seventeenth century Sheffield as an affordable but strong outdoors-mans pocket knife, the spearpoint has a straight edge and pointed end designed for detailed work and piercing. Handmade with brass linings and olive wood scales around a carbon steel blade in the Sheffield workshops of A Wright & Sons, a company which since 1947 has sought to maintain and revive the traditional skills and forms of a noble city.

This blade is made from carbon steel, which keeps a better edge than stainless, but will develop rust spots if left wet or kept damp and will naturally discolour in use — dry after use and oil regularly to keep it in good condition.

By purchasing this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.

Care Advice

Hand wash only, and never leave soaking. Dry immediately, followed with a light coating of camellia or a mineral oil. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust formation. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary.
