A terracotta garlic store with a glazed interior - for easier cleaning - and unglazed exterior and lid. The lid sits a little proud of the pot lid and the side near the base is pierced at 120 degree intervals to allow the garlic cloves to breathe and help prevent the development of mould. Hand-made in the small town of Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany by the Römertopf ceramic company, makers of the the renowned roman pot cooking bricks. A little under 13cm in diameter.
