Japanese Twice-Serrated Weeding Sickle, Snow Beech

A small, snow beech-handled multifunctional stainless steel weeding sickle from Tsubame-Sanjo in Niigata Prefecture, north central Japan. With a comfortable wide wooden handle with leather hanging loop, and a tough curved blade, with angled serrations to both sides, for excellent cutting ability. Draw through soil, easily cutting through weeds and their roots. The sickle’s shape also allows you to maneuver deftly around plants you wish to preserve, and also works well for deadheading and harvesting. Handle approximately 13cm, blade 9 x 6cm.
