Mouth-Blown Glass Tea-Light Holders, Set of 3

A ‘diving helmet’ variation on our clear glass 8cm baubles, these are perhaps a safer way to candle illuminate a Christmas tree than using the very traditional holders, candles, and an open flame. They should still never be left to burn unattended. From small lamp glass workshops in Lauscha, Germany, the town where in 1847 Hans Greiner was credited with their invention, and where the blowing of Christmas ornaments, lamp-working of glass eyes, animals, even medical equipment, still exists as an almost cottage industry. Each holder measures approximately 8cm in diameter.
