A broad broom head with pure black bristle, resin set by hand in to an oiled hardwood stock. Perfect for sweeping hard indoor floors, the natural bristles generate less static than similar synthetic brooms, and tend in time to wear away, rather than ball at their tips, giving a longer effective lifespan. From the company of R. Russell who have been manufacturing brushes in Chesham, Buckinghamshire for 6 generations, since their founding in the annex of a local tavern sometime in 1840. This broom head is supplied with a 120cm wooden handle.

Care Advice

Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little shampoo and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting. Note that clothes moths will go for animal fibre brushes in the same way that they will for animal fibre clothes. Keep brushes in a dust free environment, and treat surfaces with cedar oil to repel them.
