Split Horsehair Hand Brush, Turned Handle

Split Horsehair Hand Brush, Turned Handle
£26.50
Ex Tax: £22.08

A handsome hand brush with an oiled beechwood turned-wood handle with leather hanging loop, and a thick head of split horsehair fibres. Split horsehair is especially soft and therefore ideal to sweep fine dust. Horsehair is great for cleaning and sweeping. This natural fibre does not create a static charge and the bristles adapt easily to any surface. It effectively removes dust, grit and dirt, and leaves nothing behind. To clean the brush, wash with lukewarm water and a mild detergent solution. After washing, press out excess water and hang dry outside in fresh air or indoors at room temperature. From the German workshops of Burstenhaus Redecker.

Care Advice

Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little shampoo and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting. Note that clothes moths will go for animal fibre brushes in the same way that they will for animal fibre clothes. Keep brushes in a dust free environment, and treat surfaces with cedar oil to repel them.
  • Weight g 170g
  • Item Dimensions L30.5 x W4 x H8
  • Materials Oiled beechwood, horsehair, and leather
