Catalonian Carbon Steel Billhook No.1, Small

A traditional brush-cutting hook, fully hand produced and ground in Catalonia at the workshops of Cuchillería Pallarès, the one surviving knife and tool maker in a town once dotted with small manufacturers. Founded in 1917 by brothers Lluís and Carles Pallarès Canal, they are now a third generation family company with a workforce of 15 whose owners and management still split their time between administrative necessity and manual craft production. This billhook has a total length of about 32cm. Made from Carbon Steel, this item should be dried after use and stored in a dry place with a light coating of oil, to protect from rust. The wooden handle will also benefit from treatment with mild every now and then.
