Put-together and finished from hot forged blanks in the workshops of WaSa, Solingen. Founded in 1907 by August Waldmin and Fritz Saam, Waldmin & Saam (AKA WaSa) are known particularly for the delicacy of their embroidery snips — many of WaSa's designs date back over a century or more. Each pair of WaSa scissors requires dozens of individual steps, with painstaking attention to the handcrafted precision worthy of the Solingen, “City of Blades”, standard. Handcrafted from the best steels, hot dropped forged, hardened, tempered, hand ground, plated, polished, and honed, these scissors are made by highly skilled craftsman — a trade learned from father to son for over one hundred years.
Nickel-plated carbon steel scissors require special attention to prevent tarnishing and damage to the blades. Make sure to wipe clean, dry thoroughly and occasionally oil to protect from any humidity.
