Sheffield Cream Handled Cake Knife (Pre-Order)

An heirloom-quality, dishwasher-safe cake knife, in this traditional English black-handled cutlery style, albeit with modern materials replacing what would have been an ebony handle. Made in Sheffield — home to the Cutlers' Hall and world-renowned centre of steel and British knife making since at least the 13th century, and hopefully for many years to come. Produced by Tricketts at the White Rose Works on Eyre Lane right in the centre of the city amidst a small cluster of historic light-industrial units now surrounded by ever encroaching retail, university, and speculative residential developments. Formed from martensitic stainless steel, with a beautiful brushed 'Sateen' finish. Each blade or tool and handle is individually brought together and fixed without the use of adhesives. Measures 25cm overall, blade 16cm.
