It is important to note that the adaptor should not be used as a cooking surface itself, and that the vessel placed on top does not leave uncovered more than 2cm of the adaptor on every side - for a 24cm adaptor, be sure to use 20cm - 28cm pans. The handle is designed to stay cool to the touch.
