Cooking Spoon, Olive wood, Tunisia

A rounded cooking spoon, shaped from olive wood (Olea Europaea) by Tunisian artisans, of approximately 30cm long. For the stirring of stews and soups during cooking, and also useful singly or paired for serving. Olive wood is a hard wood, richly coloured and grained, which is prized for its appearance, density and fine texture. Owing to the twisting growth habit of the trees, it doesn’t produce large planks and is therefore mostly used for smaller household objects.
