Wash at lower temperatures, up to 40°C, to prevent shrinking and colour fading. Do not use bleach, and avoid the use of fabric softener, which will reduce absorbency. Hang to dry in a shady, well ventilated area, and avoid using a tumble dryer. If necessary, set the dryer to low heat, or a gentle setting. If pilling occurs on the outer layer do not snip it off. Pull and stretch the surrounding areas of the towel to put the pilling back to its original state. If the pilling has come from the inner terry pile, snip carefully with a pair of scissors.
