Japanese bamboo and hinoki grater

Traditional Japanese hand crafted radish grater of bamboo and hinoki. Japanese cypress, or hinoki, is native to central Japan where it is known as the ‘king of wood’, and deeply rooted in Japan’s history, being used as a durable material for century-old buildings and in Japanese cuisine. Its wood is lemon-scented with a rich, straight grain, and being highly rot-resistant is long-lasting. After use, wash and dry the grater thoroughly before storage.
