Portuguese terracotta sauce ladle, Honey

A mottled and variably coloured 'honey' glazed terracotta small sauce and serving ladle. Hand shaped, glazed, and finished by the artisans of Maria Terracota in Porto de Mós, central Portugal, and a family company that traces its ceramic producing roots back to 1900 when the eponymous Maria, ancestor and ceramicist, first started producing the terracotta earthenware upon which the modern shapes and production methods remain based. About 12.5cm long with a scoop of approximately 6cm by 7cm. Bowl supplied serarately.
