Aogami steel Higonokami Folding Knife, Large

Aogami steel Higonokami Folding Knife, Large
£44.00
Ex Tax: £36.67

A traditional Japanese folding pocket knife from Kanekoma with a brass handle and beautiful hand forged 4" folded Hitachi aogami Blue Paper Steel blade. A small lever at the end of the handle is used to open the blade out (non-locking). The brass handle starts off shiny but soon mellows to a lovely rich patina. Quite a stiff action that loosens with time, and can be re-tightened with a sharp rap on the rivet with a hammer. A great pocket knife, being relatively slim and lightweight.

The steel of this blade is hardened beyond that typical of European knives, which means that it can chip if used in a prying action or against inappropriately hard surfaces. This blade is also carbon steel, which will develop rust spots if left wet or kept damp — dry after use and oil regularly to keep it in good condition.

By purchasing this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.
