Swedish broom, birch & palmyra fibre

Swedish broom suitable for outdoor or indoor use, made from birch and palmyra fibre (bassine) from the same Indian palm as the 'delicious' sago. In Sweden, there is a tradition of visually impaired craftsmen finding work in the manufacture of brushes. This continues today in the form of Iris Hantwerk, which not only employs over 30 such individuals but also produces some of the worlds most beautiful and high quality brushes. About 115cm long, with a head 30cm wide.
