Spanish Grape Harvesting Snips, Straight Blades

Forged carbon steel snips with straight blades - one serrated and one flat ground designed to grip the stem being cut. Orange lacquered for visibility if dropped and better protection from corrosion, the blades can nevertheless rust if left in wet, saline, or damp conditions — regular use and a periodic light re-coating with oil can help prevent this. Used for grape harvesting on the Iberian Peninsula, these are ideally suited to general light pruning, flower, and fruit harvesting work. The straight secateurs measure about 19cm total length, with blades of around 6cm.
