Mora 163 Double Edged Hook Knife (Loose Radius)

A hooked carving knife from Morakniv of Sweden made to the classic Erik Frost 163 pattern. The double 163 is amongst the most useful of hook knives, with double sided ❩ shaped stainless steel blade for both pull and push carving. This blade has a more open curve, great for making a clean cut surface, or for bowls with a large radius. Used obliquely, these are sharpened without a secondary bevel as this tends to push the edge out of the work-piece. Oiled birchwood handle, with stainless steel blade.
