Arthur Wright & Son Ettrick Knife

Arthur Wright & Son Ettrick Knife
£32.00
Ex Tax: £26.67

A classic lazy serpentine Ettrick pattern pruning and utility knife, thought to originate amongst the shepherds of Ettrick parish in the Scottish Borders. It has a large reverse curved brass and walnut handle, and relatively small straight edged carbon steel blade. It is ideal for light pruning and trimming towards the thumb. Hand made in the Sheffield workshops of A Wright & Sons who since 1947 have maintained and revived the knife patterns and manufacturing traditions of this noble city.

This blade is made from carbon steel, which keeps a better edge than stainless, but will develop rust spots if left wet or kept damp and will naturally discolour in use — dry after use and oil regularly to keep it in good condition.

By purchasing this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.
