A strong cutting or grubbing mattock, forged in carbon steel by Pallares Solsona in Spain. With an 80cm wooden handle, this tool is really useful for breaking up and digging out areas of ground, even where compacted. Designed especially to help in 'grubbing' out the roots of shrub and trees from the soil, this mattock is much more effective than using a spade. Use for removing bushes, breaking ground for new flower beds and digging out stubborn roots of trees, among other jobs around the garden. Brush off dirt after use, and oil both handle and metal to keep the tool in good condition.
