Arthur Wright & Son Peach Pruner

Arthur Wright & Son Peach Pruner
£40.00
Ex Tax: £33.33

A pocket pruning and fruit knife with a small carbon steel pruning blade, brass linings, and nickel bolsters. The pruning blade is ideally suited to clean precise cutting and the blade shape is handy for hooking underneath tightly bound sticks — this shape is popular with gardeners, allotment holders and professional nurserymen, and also makes a great fruit knife for al fresco lunches. Hand made in the Sheffield workshops of A Wright & Sons who since 1947 have maintained and revived the knife patterns and manufacturing traditions of this noble city. The blade is carbon steel, so should dried after use and oiled occasionally to prevent rust.

This blade is made from carbon steel, which keeps a better edge than stainless, but will develop rust spots if left wet or kept damp and will naturally discolour in use — dry after use and oil regularly to keep it in good condition.

By purchasing this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.

Care Advice

Hand wash only, and never leave soaking. Dry immediately, followed with a light coating of camellia or a mineral oil. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust formation. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary.
