Opinel natural Lombardy sharpening stone, 10cm

A small, portable natural sharpening stone of about 320 to 400 grit. Quarried in the vicinity of Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy, this is a good stone for regular sharpening of all pocket knives, especially when travelling or camping when bench stones might be too impractically heavy to carry. Used with water this should be soaked for a few minutes before use and the blade pulled and stroked along the surface at a typically 20° angle — although this might be different for Japanese or specialist knives.
