A beautiful oval basket woven solely from akebia vine in Kaminoyama City, Japan by Nao Ochiai, who has been weaving with akebia fibre in her signature ‘Midare-ami’ pattern (shape of snow) for over two decades. Akebia is a vine which grows along the ground and makes very strong, long-lasting baskets. The family annually collect wild akebi vines in the nearby mountains. Perfect for keeping fruit fresh, but suitable for various uses. 33cm long, 24cm wide and 12cm high.

Care Advice

Wash with hot soapy water only when needed, and take care to dry immediately with a cloth before airing to finish drying prior to storage. When not in use, store in a dry environment.
