Finnish sauna brush, oak, cow hair

A long-handled body brush with an oak stock (handle), hand stitched with soft pale horsehair bristles by the crafts people of a Finnish visually impaired workers cooperative. Used more or less vigorously either during bathing or saunas to gently stimulate, clean, and exfoliate the skin. Best rinsed and left to dry between uses, as if left soaking natural materials will degrade. 37cm overall length with a head of approximately 13cm.
