Joseph Bull Porcelain Crackle Bud Vase

A small vase, designed to hold small sprigs of spring flowers, thrown for us in Oxfordshire in porcelain and glazed in a classic Chinese Celadon, which is gas-fired to create a beautiful depth to the glaze, with random crackling over the surface. Solidly thrown, giving added stability. Wheel-thrown by Joseph Bull, a studio potter based in Oxfordshire, who trained with Knighton Mill Pottery and the Leach Pottery in St Ives, before establishing his own studio in Wootton, Oxfordshire. Approximately 8cm tall, 8cm diameter.
