A Sri Lankan doughnut shaped 'tawashi' style dish scrubbing brush, made from light coconut fibre twisted into thick stainless steel wire and bound with coconut twine, with an untreated beechwood handle. Firm fibres, and the rounded shape of this brush, make quick work of washing up — great for cleaning our steel frying pans and cast iron skillets. Overall length 28cm.

Care Advice

Keep dry when not in use. In the case of wet-use brushes, please shake any excess moisture from the bristles, and dry hanging up or on a surface with the bristles facing down. Clean brushes only when necessary with a little dish soap and hot water, making sure to dry thoroughly. Condition the wooden surface every now and then with a beeswax furniture polish, or mineral oil, to prevent cracks or splitting.
