Tochigi Compact Laundry Board, Beech Wood

A traditional laundry board, for the effective cleaning of hand-washed laundry, in a compact size with a looped handle for hanging. Shaped from beech wood, by craftspeople in Tochigi, Japan, the board's deep, curved parallel ridges assist with the proper washing of fabrics. Use with natural soap (our Marseille white soap is perfect), to naturally clean laundry with minimum effort — simply rub the wet item on the soap, then gently agitate over the boards ridges, to work the soap through the fabric and remove residual dirt.
