A partially serrated carbon steel sickle knife, with a tape splitting hook to the back, and a poplar handle. Incredibly sharp both to the flat and the serrated sections of the blade these are by intent used to open and break down cardboard boxes, the small hook ideal for ripping through tape without damaging contents, whilst the blade makes short work breaking down for recycling. Also ideal as a small and handy harvesting knife or light pruning sickle. Like many Japanese tools these are carbon steel and can rust if left wet or stored damp, and are best lightly oiled if left for extended periods. About 25cm overall length and with a blade of approximately 12cm.
