Japanese Porcelain Cup and Saucer, Brown

A porcelain cup and saucer, with a lively dark brown glaze, designed by Ogino Katsuhiko and made in Seto City by Ceramic Japan who have been making fine ceramics since 1973. Seen from above, the mouth of the cup is the embodiment in design of the act of serving a drink to a friend, with a gently rounded triangular shape. This Brown cup uses a glaze that changes color during firing, with the result ranging from yellow to reddish brown, resulting in a unique appearance with each piece. Measures 11 × 8 × 7 cm, capacity 165ml. The saucer measures 12.4 × 10.7 × 2 cm and has an oval rim making it easy to hold — perfect for sweetmeats too!
