Jack Welbourne Coffee Bowl, Brushwork

A hand-thrown coffee bowl (also great for tea!) unglazed to the outside, with hand-painted brushwork, and glazed internally with an ash glaze. Perfect for Cappucino, latte and hot chocolate. Made in Cardiff by studio potter Jack Welbourne and glazed in hand-mixed and applied glazes. Sits well in the hand, with thick walls allowing for a comfortable hold. After training in Cardiff and Gothenburg, Sweden, Welbourne set up his studio where he produces gas-fired wheel-thrown stoneware in red stoneware clay mined in Cornwall, using hand-mixed glazes made using potash, chalk, iron oxide and flint).
