Austrian Enamelled Steel Bellied Jug, 1 litre

A teal blue, enamelled steel jug, with a bellied shape, practical spout and handle, for heating up liquids which can then be pouring into waiting receptacles or taken to the table to serve directly. Enamelled in a pale soft grey on the inside, the rim is curved — known as a rolled rim in enamel terms — and is created by bending the metal during the manufacturing process to form a rounded and stable rim. Suitable for all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction, open flame). Made by the Austrian firm of Riess who have been producing enamelware on the borders of the Alps since the mid 16th century, and who today draw the power for their plant from their very own dedicated hydroelectric source.
