A large Binsui natural sharpening stone from Japan, with a lower grit, equivalent to around 700 grit — great for quick sharpening of knives and other tools, including gardening tools and scissors. Soak in water for about 3 min prior to use so that the stone is saturated with water. Always place on a flat, stable and non-slippery surface to work and keep surfaces wet as you work. Wash well with water after use and allow to dry naturally. Store out of direct sunlight. In case a part of the stone is chipped after a fall, for example, make sure to smooth out the chipped part so that the blade won't be damaged when sharpening with it. This can be done by grinding two flat stones together, to flatten both simultaneously. Measures approximately 21 x 7 x 7cm.
