English Spun Iron Prospector Heavy Griddle or Pizza Plate

English Spun Iron Prospector Heavy Griddle or Pizza Plate
£97.50
Ex Tax: £81.25
This heavy duty 12 inch griddle plate is crafted from 6mm thick iron sheet, with Netherton's Prospector style handles to either side. This griddle plate can reach high temperatures and retain the heat, making it perfect for searing steaks and vegetables, as well as traditional uses such as drop scones. From Netherton Foundry, a Shropshire company with a noted commitment to sustainable sourcing and local manufacturing. Hand made, with British oak handle covers with brass fixings. Suitable for high temperature frying & browning. Seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a hardwearing, repairable, and naturally very low stick finish — which like all traditional iron and steel pans will improve rather than degrade with use and age. Suitable for use on all hobs — heat up slowly to prevent warping.

Care Advice

Hand wash with a stiff vegetable fibre brush, using either no soap or a very gentle soap such as Marseille White Soap. Avoid soaking. Dry immediately after washing, and either return to the hob to ensure the pan is fully dry, or dry well. There is no need to season this item, however we recommend using a little more oil than you ordinarily would for the first few uses. Store in a dry environment to prevent the formation of rust. Should rust occur, use an abrasive or rust-remover to remove, and re-season. Please refer to product packaging for specific care and use instructions.
  • Weight g 3.7kg
  • Item Dimensions ⌀31 x H0.6, |Inc. handles, W40.5
  • Materials 99.1% pure spun iron pre-seasoned with flax oil and brass rivets
