Italian End-Grain Butcher's Block, Beech

A simple, checkered butcher's block made for Eppicotispai of Italy — located in the Lago Maggiore region in the footbed of the Alpine mountains. Made from beech heartwood, or the inner supporting pillar of a tree, making it incredibly strong, durable and ideal for a base to chop on. The surface is made up of the end grain of the wood, which is more forgiving for the blade edge, allowing your knife to stay sharper for longer, and making cuts on the board less visible. Slotted handles are grooved into the sides, allowing for easy transport in the kitchen. Handwash only, do not leave soaking in water. We recommend oiling or waxing your board when needed to keep it in tip-top shape. Measures 30 x 30 x 4cm.
