Made in France, this elegant high-carbon steel spring compass, complete with knurled pencil holder, has a finely tempered bow spring and a corrosion-resistant, zinc bichromated quick-action screw to allow rapid setup and extra fine, precision tuning. With a sharp, hardened point and black japanned steel finish for a durable tool, this tool is perfect for accurately inscribing circles or arcs. Braced with a bowspring and controlled by a double-bored conical nut that can be angled and slid into position, they then re-engage under spring pressure so you can fine tune the adjustment.
