Tom Knowles Jackson Stoneware Spoon Rest, Cream Flecked

A sturdy, hand-thrown stoneware spoon rest, glazed in a soft cream, for keeping your cooking spoon safely away from your kitchen surfaces. Wheel-thrown by Tom Knowles Jackson in the Cotswolds village of St Chloe. A potter from a young age, Knowles Jackson returned to ceramics following careers in the army and business, and now creates his own standard range of high fired stoneware. Using a small range of glazes derived from iron, copper and wood ash, Knowles Jackson fires his pieces in a self-built down-draught wood fired kiln. Measures approximately 15cm in diameter, though due to the hand-thrown nature of Tom’s work, this may vary by a centimetre or so.
