Simon Horton Mini Pouring Bowl, Stoneware, Tenmoku

A small pouring bowl, hand thrown by Simon Horton and reduction fired in South Oxfordshire in a small gas kiln of his own making. Great for mixing up dressings or dipping sauces, or sweet drizzles. In a homemade tenmoku glaze, producing a glaze varying from warm orange through dark brown to almost black. With an admiration for pots quiet, understated and modest, Simon finds inspiration from medieval slipware to early Chinese and Korean pottery and feeds this back into his work. Height of 7cm, and a diameter of 9cm, approximately.
