Kumazasa Washi Paper Hand-Knitted Hat, Grey

A comfortable and flexible hat for sunny weather, crocheted by hand in Indonesia from kumazasa fibre washi, a unique fibre composed entirely of paper. Sasawashi yarns are made from twisted strips of paper, the composition of which is part Washi, and part Kumazasa. The wider the strip the thicker the yarn, and once they have been spun they can be woven or knitted into products with with all the benefits of this new fabric — including high water and oil absorbency, natural antibacterial and deodorant power from the added Kumazasa. Lightweight and easily stowable for quick deployment. Hand wash only, hang dry to shape. Measures 56cm to 58cm.
