A soft and warm blanket or throw, with a twill-like weave in white, grey, and cinnamon stripes inspired by the open landscapes of Ostrobothnia — where Lapuan Kankurit's weaving mill is located. Skilfully woven in 100% pure new wool, this blanket is finished with natural white twisted fringes. The yarn used for the weft of this blanket is spun from a combination of the wool fibres of Finnsheep and Finnsheep crossbreeds, obtained from local farms in Finland, as well as from certified Wool Integrity NZ fibre. The warp yarn is spun in the EU area from certified, responsible South American, fine-fibre and soft wool fibre. All yarns are spun and dyed in the EU area and are mulesing-free wool.
Lapuan Kankurit have recently created a continuous finishing facility for wool textiles in Lapua, enabling them to bring back lost industrial expertise in wool processing to Finland. Their Finnsheep wool is not only versatile but also one of the softest wool varieties in the Nordic region. The natural-coloured sections of this throw are made using undyed brown, black and white sheep’s wool.
This blanket / throw measures 130cm by 180cm plus fringes.
