Twin-Blade Barlow Knife with Rams-Horn Scales

Twin-Blade Barlow Knife with Rams-Horn Scales
£180.00
Ex Tax: £150.00
A hand-crafted Twin Bladed Barlow Knife, with two stainless steel blades, brass liners, and polished ram’s horn scales. This is a versatile knife with one larger clipped barlow blade allied to one of a typical pen form, the barlow having its origins in Sheffield as an outdoors-man’s knife, the pen very much in the scriptorium as a trimmer of quills. This individually hand-made knife is made in a specialised and dedicated workshop at the New Eye Witness Works in Sheffield. Reinstating a long tradition, each knife is made made from start to finish by a single craftsman and mounted with naturally figured horn or hardwood scales. Each is unique, finished, ground, and polished to a very high standard and supplied with a certificate bearing the signature of its maker.
By electing to purchase this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may if in any doubt contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this.

Care Advice

Hand wash only, and never leave soaking. Dry immediately, followed with a light coating of camellia or a mineral oil. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust formation. A sharp knife is a safe knife — use a honing rod to keep a fine edge, and sharpen with a stone when necessary.
