English Macrame Crafting Twine, Natural White

A 70 metre spool of natural white 2mm  recycled cotton twine. Made in Belgium for the Nutscene company of Angus, Scotland. A high quality hobby twine, perfect for creating wall-hangings, pot plant holders, or whatever you can conjure, utilising the macramé technique, which uses knots to create textiles in different formations. The primary knots of macramé are the square (or reef knot) and forms of "hitching" — various combinations of half hitches (a simple overhand knot), long practised by sailors, especially in elaborate or ornamental knotting forms, to cover anything from knife handles to bottles to parts of ships.
