Carpet beater No.3, small

Stripped rattan carpet-beaters hand formed and bound by the visually impaired craftspeople of a Vantaa based Finnish cooperative. In two sizes, the larger (Carpet beater no.2) is triple braided for stiffness and good for heavier rugs, moveable carpets, and thicker tapestry blankets, whilst the smaller is double braided and best for smaller rugs, lighter blankets, or delicate bed linens and eiderdowns, which can be too delicate to wash, and perhaps reluctant to be dry cleaned. No.2 measures approximately 70cm by 27cm across the head, whilst no.3 measures about 56cm by 20cm.
